FAQ
Are you a general contractor?
No. We are project managers who design and build your space, choosing the right companies to partner with us to ensure that the project gets completed on time and on budget. But we’re more than just managers. We assist in the design and furniture procurement, project manage the communications and set up the project plan and budget. We guide each project from its initial idea phase through to completion and move, making sure each phase moves seamlessly into the next, and that things are happening on time, on budget and to the high level of quality we demand.
Our office has specific ergonomic and accessibility requirements. Can you accommodate those?
Absolutely. Healthy employees are productive ones – no one knows that better than we do. Because of the facilities management side of our business, we’ve built significant experience helping people work ergonomically. We manage issues, refer employees to assessors and implement recommended tactics including procuring body-friendly furniture and equipment. Just let us know your ergonomic and accessibility needs – we will be pleased to make recommendations to make your office healthier and more comfortable for everyone who uses it.
We need to renovate our office but we still have to run our business. Will it be disruptive?
We keep disruption to a minimum by planning the work around your needs so that you and your employees can still get things done. We arrange dust control, temporary barrier walls, technology accommodations, moves and phasing in advance so that your staff can continue to work and know what to expect at any given time.
How do I choose the right furniture for my office?
After our initial discussion about your business needs, we will set up several showroom tours that focus on the brands and types of furniture that best suit your workplace. We think it’s better to see and touch the furniture rather than going through catalogues and websites; not doing it in person can be confusing, and when you can see the furniture in person, it’s easier to visualize how it will look and function in your space. Plus, being there makes it much easier to make a decision. Then, after the showroom visits, we can have the desks and seating drawn into your preliminary plan so that you can see how it works with your office.
I have a limited budget. How can I get the best value for my money in a renovation?
Renovations don’t have to be prohibitively expensive. We can show you how to use your budget to effect a real change in your space. We focus on areas that are important to you and make suggestions that keep you on budget. We can also work with you to develop a five-year plan that phases in a renovation over time, without making the office seem half finished. We also offer you our excellent pricing in finishes (carpet, flooring, hardware, technology and furniture).
We have several offices in different parts of the country. How can I achieve the same look and feel in each one?
We develop a company standard with you that will stand the test of time and not looked dated a year later. This includes a colour palette for paint and flooring, furniture and work stations. Each office can have a slight variation to the overall theme but clients and staff will recognize that each office is part of a cohesive company look. We can phase in changes so that the expense hits your budget at the right time.
How do I know how much this renovation will cost in advance?
We sit down with you and come up with a plan for the renovation. A preliminary budget ensures you can know what to plan.
